Terms of Service
Last updated: January 2025
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Editovanie website, PDF editing tools, account features, and file upload features available at editovaniepdf.com (the “Service”). By signing up, logging in, uploading files, or using the Service in any way, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Editovanie provides a suite of browser-based document tools for tasks such as merging, splitting, rotating, compressing, watermarking, protecting, converting, and editing PDF and image files. Some features may process files locally in your browser, while others may temporarily require server processing for conversion or security checks.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you confirm that the information you provide, including your account details or contact information, is accurate and complete.
3. Accounts and Authentication
You may create an account using email/password or Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, and for all activities that occur under your account. We are not responsible for unauthorized access arising from your failure to protect your credentials.
If you sign in using Google, you agree to Google’s terms and privacy policies, and Google may provide basic profile information to us for account creation or matching. We use that information only to support the sign-in and account experience.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.
- Upload files you do not own or do not have permission to process.
- Attempt to exploit, overload, or abuse the authentication, upload, or processing systems.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent the platform beyond what is permitted by law.
- Interfere with the security, availability, or integrity of the Service or any connected systems.
5. Your Content and Uploaded Files
You retain ownership of the files you upload and the content contained in them. We do not claim rights over your content. However, by uploading a file to the Service, you represent that you have the necessary rights to process and share that file, and that the file does not contain illegal, harmful, or infringing material.
Some file operations may require temporary server processing. We will not permanently store your files unless specifically required for a service feature or by law. You remain responsible for keeping backups of your data.
6. Intellectual Property
The Editovanie website, brand, design, content, and code are protected by copyright and trademark laws. The Service uses open-source libraries and third-party components, and those libraries remain subject to their own license terms.
7. Service Availability and No Warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that any specific document operation will always result in a perfect file, and results may depend on the browser, file type, and underlying operating system. Always keep a backup of your original files.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Editovanie and its operators shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, business interruption, or loss of profits resulting from use of the Service. Our aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of 10 EUR or the amount you paid us in the last twelve months (which, for a free service, is zero).
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, abused the upload system, or used the platform in a harmful or unauthorized way. You may stop using the Service at any time.
10. Privacy and Security
Your privacy matters. We process personal data only as described in our Privacy Policy, including account data, Google sign-in data, JWT session data, and file upload metadata. We implement reasonable safeguards to protect account security and uploaded content, but no system can be made completely risk-free.
11. Changes To The Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect changes. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union member state in which Editovanie is operated, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
13. Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or resources. We are not responsible for those third-party services or their data practices.
